A Tip of the Hat to Cole

Jesus f’ing Christ on a cracker, that man pitched his ass off today. Other than a few crap strike calls, I have little room to bitch. It’s like when Baxter ate the whole wheel of cheese in Anchorman, that was so impressive that I can’t be mad, just impressed. That was a hell of a gem by a hell of a pitcher. Sucks that he’s on the Yank-me’s now, but that’s the business.

Missing dog on the northside

Hello. So I live in the 5oaks apartments near 1960 and I45 and there’s a dog with a harness(so prob has an owner) locked inside our little dog park. I just checked and there’s no tags so I can contact anyone. Tan dog about 50lbs I guess. I dont know if this type of stuff is allowed but I just want to see the dog ok and not have animal control or something pick them up and who knows what happens. Please spread the word if you can

Best Masters Swim?

Ex swimmer, not college level or anything but solid. Looking to get back in the pool, meet people, where the coach has good vibes and doesn’t do boring traditional stuff like 10 X 100s but the workout has some rigor (~2000-3000 yards, get the heart rate up a bit) but isn’t impossible. Outdoor pool is preferable (lol with my demands).

So far I’ve seen Rice, JCC Houston, Dads Club…any groups you all recommend? I get the whole idea of what’s closest is best, but I live west side of the loop and commute to West Houston so I’m sure several options work for me.
