I’m attending the University of Houston in the fall, and at the moment, it looks like I won’t have a car. With that said, I decided to get a METRO pass from the university.

The Purple Line has a stop adjacent to the campus, and it seems like a fairly convenient and cheap (compared to ride-sharing, at least) way to get to and from Downtown. However, I have heard very mixed things about the safety of the route, primarily because it passes through the Third Ward.

If anyone has experience with the Purple Line, how safe is it? Does the safety vary between day and night? Should I be concerned at all?

Would it be better than my dark tint for when it’s hot out? My car is white, so it doesn’t get as scorching hot like my brother’s black Spyder.

I’ve been here before but I was wondering if other people can answer my question. Next year I want to see 2 groups but they’re playing on the same day. One at 7pm downstairs and the other 8pm upstairs. What I want to know if do I still have to buy a ticket for both even if it’s still in the same building? And also would it be one band then the other? As in one group finishes then the other comes in or multiple groups can play at the same time. I wanna see both but I’m not trying to race up and downstairs. Thx
