Read MoreYesterday night we found a kitten in my backyard that is around 4-5 weeks old. Don’t know if its a female or male but it was a eye infection and runny nose. I can’t take care of the kitten since I already have a cat and dog.
I’ve called HSPCA and they told me they can’t take it because it is sick so they referred me to Harris County Pets. They then told me they can’t take it and referred me to BARC. BARC said they can’t take in a sick cat with a respiratory problem even though on their website it says, “If the kittens are dirty, cold, meowing or appear sick, underweight or dehydrated, bring them to BARC located at 2700 Evella Street from 9am to 5pm. Please note no appointment is necessary.” Lastly I’ve tried Houston Humane Society and their department isn’t answering the phone.
I am not asking if you any of you guys can take the cat, I am just asking if you know a shelter that can provide this kitten help. It is in really bad shape.
