Youth Soccer Clubs – Houston

I am a Houston native and spent the last few years living in London as an expat. While here my son (will be age 9) got big into soccer – we are moving back to Houston in August and I was curious if anyone has any experience with their kids enjoying a particular league or club.

While here he played with AFC Wimbledon (Club team – currently League One). He has been playing for a few years now and although he is competitive I am not looking for something that is crazy. Would like something that is well organized and can continue to improve his skills but enables him to have fun.

We live in Meyerland/Bellaire area so I have seen a few options:

• Westbury Soccer Club
• Meyerland Soccer
• RISE
• HTX Soccer
• Southwest Premier Soccer Club

Would be curious to hear anyones experience with these – have heard some not great things about Rise from a few people but dont have any feedback on the rest just yet.
