Young Black Man Considering Houston Move

I am an African-American recent college grad from an urban area in the Mid-Atlantic considering a move to Houston, is this a good idea? what should i be aware of? will there be major culture shock? where should I be looking to live.

Further context: – I will be making low 6 figures ~ 110k range pre tax – I want to live around other black folks particularly young professionals – Have very little experience in the South outside of extended family, have lived in Northern cities my whole life – I would prefer to purchase a condo than rent
