Yet Another Insurance Post. How much are y’all paying?

How much are y'all paying right now for car insurance and what would you recommend? Renewal is coming up and mine wants damn near $1500 for six months comprehensive. I have one ruled at-fault which I'm sure is the bulk of the B.S.

Fucking hell, the way rates are going I might just move closer to work and start biking. Medical risk of getting ran over is gonna cost less than the cars at this rate 🤣

Do y'all have any suggestions for trying to get the costs down? I've done a half dozen online quotes with the big companies and they want even more. Jokesters at Geico quoted $2800 for a ten year old coupe, good jokes from them. Pay by mile isn't an option with the work commute and I don't think going liability only is a safe option in this place.

I'm assuming I'm just gonna have to suck it up and eat ramen for a month, but I'm looking for a hail mary here. What would y'all suggest?

(Before the mods flay me alive, I searched "auto insurance" and "car insurance" from the last month before making this post)
