Yale closed just north of Washington where it goes under the railroad. Why?

I was shocked to find out yesterday that the bit of Yale that goes under the railroad north of Washington is closed. It's no longer a viable option to avoid trains if you need it, and ends up causing additional traffic in the area. I looked around but all my searches just find the old train track and bridge removal years ago closer to I-10, nothing about the recent closure.

Anyone heard or seen anything about it? Perhaps what they're doing or how long it'll be closed?
