Would you cut Robert Woods?

Robert Woods was signed to a 2 year deal last offseason and believe it or not this coming year he will have the 5th highest cap hit of any Texan. Unfortunately he was also a nonfactor for much of the year.

He currently has a 9.7mil cap hit, if cut he would have 4.7mil in dead cap and a total of 5mil in cap savings. So you'd give yourself some dead money but also free up a nice bit of cash.

In terms of play on the field for the first 2 games it looked like he would be a valuable target on 3rd down and a nice little safety blanket, he had 130 yards in those first 2 games and ended the season with 426 yards total. He only eclipsed the 50 yard mark one more time all season and only caught 1 TD.

Total stats

Yards: 426

Yards per route run: 1.02 (this is terrible and good for 81st in the league)

TD's: 1

I'd cut him, 4.7mil in dead money sucks but ultimately I'd rather the 5mil we save go towards shoring up other parts of the roster. Or the 5mil could go to a guy like Gabe Davis or Tyler Boyd who would probably offer a lot more as a WR3 than Woods at this point in their career
