Would Watson still be having the season he is if Hopkins was still here?

I know many of us remember how at times Watson would stare down Hop and it drove us nuts. Was the assertion that Watson would be forced to grow without Hop true? Was is solely play calling and would he be even better and complete next level? About the same?

There seems to be some confusion. I’m not talking about the team overall. Obviously neither plays defense. I’m asking about Watson’s individual play.
