Would Houston support an NHL team?

Tempe, AZ voters voted against a proposal for a new arena for the Arizona Coyotes NHL team, and now more than ever there is widespread speculation that the team will move. Houston can offer a good home in the Toyota Center, and seems to be a top 3 relocation city.

I’m curious to see the city’s consensus and whether or not there would be local support. I realize this might be a few years away, if the Coyotes even move to Houston, but as a Houstonian and life-long hockey fan, I’d more than welcome an NHL team in this city.
