Working in the medical center, looking to buy a house

Anyone have any suggestions on good places to look? My budget is roughly 300k and Was interested in copper field area or woodlands area but unsure of how bad the commute may be. According to google and Waze taking the toll when I need to work will take anywhere from 35 min to an hour. Approx 40 min to work doesn’t sound terrible. I’m considering these areas because my fiancés family all live in cypress or spring so pearland or Missouri city areas are a little too far.
