working as an election judge tomorrow outside of my party?

Not here to discuss politics, just a genuine question about the democratic process.

Volunteered to work as an election worker a few days ago. The person I was emailing asked me if I would be willing to work as a judge (even though I've never worked polls before) and I said sure. Found out I would be filling the Republican judge spot even though I'm not a Republican. They had to fill the spot quickly because I think someone dropped out.

From my understanding, I will be just helping people fill out ballots and administrative stuff. I would not be biased against Republicans if I need to assist them or anything. Its their right to vote.

But it just feels a little weird, a little dishonest/undemocratic. Especially because I will be wearing a nametag that says Republican even though I am not one.

Does anyone else have experience with this? Is it okay?
