Wooded areas near Houston?

I’ve been living in Houston (Pearland to be exact) for the past 2 years or so. I don’t go out much as I mostly work, but I’ve been wanting to venture out into a wooded area. Preferably not a park/trail as I’m looking for something a bit more isolated away from people, but I just want to be surrounded by trees and maybe even creeks/streams of water. I don’t mind having to drive a bit from where I stay, but any directions to point out what I’m looking for would be a big help. Thank you in advanced.
