Wife and I just moved to Houston and we love the woodlands. What cities should we look into that aren’t too far for jobs?

I'm looking for civil engineering work, she's looking for graphic design work. We don't really know the area too well so we're not sure what surrounding cities to look into. I don't mind a 45-50 minute commute.

Edit: it seems my question is being misinterpreted. We want to move to the woodlands but don't know what cities are nearby for us to look for jobs. Obviously if we can work in the woodlands we would, but are there other cities nearby to also search in?
