Why we should NOT sign Joe Mixon

His yards per carry are incredibly mediocre. In 2023 he was ranked 27 out of 48 among RBs in yards per carry (minimum 7.5 rushes a game). By comparison, Zach Moss, who the Bengals signed to replace Mixon, was 19 out of 48. Moss is getting paid 8M for 2 years, paying Mixon anything more than that is an overpay.

More importantly, his off field behavior. He beat a woman so badly that he broke multiple bones in her face, she had to be hospitalized, and she needed surgery. I don’t want any woman beaters on this team! Keep that piece of s**t away from our locker room. We are trying to build a culture of winning, focused on being good people on and off the field. Mixon doesn’t fit that culture, he’s a piece of s**t woman beater and deserves to be treated as such. I would rather have the worst run game in the NFL next season than sign Mixon.
