Why the Fisher pick makes a lot of sense
Credit to Cody Stoots on 610 for this thought that I agree with.
The injury Tytus Howard has might keep him out the first four weeks of the season. Also, it’s a known “career shortening” injury. We extended Howard pre injury, and our opinion of him might’ve changed after this particular injury.
Tunsil battled a lot of injuries as well – so OT depth was a much glaring need than we first thought.
Another thought is Fisher would’ve been a high pick had he stayed another season (according to most, especially with getting LT reps on film).
Overall to me Fisher is a good insurance policy at the very least, and might be our starting RT for next season.
Obviously healthy / prime Tytus Howard at RT is ideal, but maybe not realistic.
