Why so much love for picks?
Serious question not trolling just generally interested in ppls perspectives. Every time I see a trade talked about ppl throw a crazy number of picks or focus on it being a first rd. Outside of the 5th year option I don’t care to much about the first rounder. I like players and a pick better than multiple picks. If you got Higgins and a 2nd for Tunsil, do we think there is a receiver at late 1st that is going to surpass Higgins? Prob not. Same with Watson situation I personally think that Washington is a good fit for both sides. You get pick 11 this year and the first next year. Why not try and get sweat as the “3rd first round pick” being that he’s a proven play maker secure this years 2nd rd pick as well. If both these trades happen you solve for cap space secure 2 starters and have 7 picks in the top 100 picks. You can build with that. I think Howard can hold down LT (I know Tunsil is better) but then we are looking for a RT which is easier to land with a late 1st early 2nd
