Why is Mexican food so expensive here

Where I’m from, you can easily get an entree and margarita or 2 beers for under 20 bucks. I’m lucky to walk out with a 30 dollar tab with one drink in some places here. I’ve been to literally every major city and it seems like it’s uniquely houston lol.
