Why is it so hard to get a job in the med center?

I’ve been applying to MD Anderson,UT health, Methodist etc and nobody has called me. My application has been stuck “in review” since November I mean what gives I though there’s a worker shortage? I tried messaging recruiters directly on LinkedIn and even that’s a dead end.
