Why is Craigslist so underutilized here?

Moved to Houston about 10 months ago, where I moved from Craigslist was a big deal. You could find almost anything on the thing and for a good price.

Moved here, and almost no one seems to use it except to advertise (businesses) etc.

Am I missing something? It just seems for such a large city, there would be a hell of a lot more for sale, especially since sales tax is so significant here. Buying used negates that.
