Why don’t we have a manager yet?

Did we not plan for Baker retiring? Did that come as some sort of shock and the front office is scrambling to evaluate replacements?

If we had someone we wanted in mind, have we made them an offer and are just eagerly awaiting them to accept? Who might this mystery manager be that we are holding out for?

Or we could just fucking listen to the damn GM and hire Espada before he gets swooped up by the Brewers (his contract ended with us on 10/31 and can interview and accept offers at this moment)

So why the delay? If it’s Linares, or whoever, why don’t they pull the trigger?
