Why does our local media undervalue Watson’s value so much?

I just heard on 97.5 fm trade scenarios for Watson. They were wanting only a first and CMC or possibly a first, a second, and CMC. CMC is a negative asset at this point.

This is so laughably low for a desperate coach and GM. I can’t take the local Houston media seriously if they have these awful proposals.

Watson’s value is 5 firsts based on what Adams went for. I understand his baggage, but he’s still a 26 year old top 5 QB, which is the most important position on the field. His baggage will go away once he settles like it did with Big Ben.

The minimum that should be considered is a top 10 pick, another first, and a quality starter either on the defensive or offensive line. I personally wouldn’t take less than 3 firsts with one being a top 10 pick given what future bust Trey Lance went for. A sure thing is far more valuable than a QB on a rookie contract player with potential.
