Why Does My Tap Water Smell?

Hi all. New Houston resident as of yesterday, but I’ve been lurking on this sub for a while. I love everything about my new place, but for some reason, water coming from the tap and especially from the shower has a faint yet noticeable sulfur smell to it. It’s not quite rotten eggs, more like a hard-boiled egg.

Is this normal around here? Should I contact someone? I have an aunt and uncle who live out in the sticks, and their well water has a similar smell to it, so they only drink bottled and filtered water. I live in the Midtown/Fourth Ward area if that helps.
