Why does Bush airport look so old/dirty compared to other airports?

Admittedly I’ve only seen 4 other airports in person. Detroit, Vegas, Los Angeles, and the one in Mexico City. They’re all so clean/new looking. I was even surprised with the Detroit airport looking as good as it did. But Bush has always looked so old and raggedy ever since I could remember. Why won’t they remodel
