Why do people here say Tank Dell isn’t a slot WR?

He lined up mostly in the slot throughout his college career, was projected to be a slot receiver in the NFL, and was highly effective taking most of his snaps out of the slot last season Seemed like this narrative came out of nowhere, with people saying he can't play slot because he's too small and will get crushed running through the middle. Sure he took some hits down the middle but he's got elite separation and elusiveness to avoid big hits. Stroud also does a great job with anticipation and ball placement to protect his receivers. There's no reason why the Texans can't bring in someone who plays outside and have Tank line up mostly inside. They'll continue to have him all over the field due to his versatility. Just don't have him block on an inside goal line rush situation ever again lmao submitted by /u/rt9o |
