Why are Houston roads so terrible? (A rant)

It’s so annoying. Every day I drive in to work, I spend 20 minutes on a 3 mile stretch of road on 610 because traffic is so terrible.

The roads are designed so terribly. So many signs around Houston don’t even make sense.

Why are we even doing this? Why are we spending so much on these trash highways instead of a rail? Honestly. I hate the traffic in this city.
