Who’s gonna win the ultimate Texans TE battle?

Honestly this is probably the most interesting competition on the offense imo, as I feel that any of these guys could win out the starting roll.

Starting with last years starter, I feel like we kind of know who Jordan Akins is at this point, a good pass catcher but a pretty bad blocker, honestly I like the guy but there’s very little reason to want to keep him around in the near future, also including the fact that he is already 29 unless he wants to stay for cheap.

Moving onto another 3rd round TE, one who has 3 catches for 35 yards, none other then Kahale Warring, at this point it’s fair to say that he’s more then a bust considering he’s on his contract year, and literally hasn’t done anything at all. Though, for starters he is young at 24, plus he definitely has the physical tools to be a great recievinf TE, though I’ve never heard anything about his blocking skills. I am hoping that he can at least win the TE2 spot just so we can see what he can do in a full season.

Next up being the Texans 5th round draft pick Brevin Jordan, he could be a surprise to start this season, he does have high upside I feel as a receiver but from what I’ve heard he has some catching issues plus fumbles, as well TE’s take a while to develop so I’d surprised if he started this season.

Antony Auclair is next, there’s no much known about him besides being on the Bucs’ practice squad last year, I have heard good things about his blocking though, it’ll be interesting to see how his receiving skills are.

Last but not least Pharaoh Brown who surprised many last season was our best blocking TE as well as some good plays when he caught the ball though rarely, there’s a chance he can step up and win the starting job, though he is currently injured and pretty much behind in every other TE in this group

Overall I think that Akins will win the starting job, but I think that Auclair wins the TE2 spot and then Warring has the 3rd spot as well.
