Whole House Dehumidifier – Experience & Recommendation?

Anyone have any experience with a whole house dehumidifier (not portable units) and have any recommendations/tips/thoughts?

I have a new and well-built house but the humidity (even this time of year) is uncomfortable.

I’d ideally like to get it down to under 40% humidity, if possible.
