White Linen being this weekend has me thinking…..can someone explain to me why Houston doesn’t have more events like block parties etc? Heat is not an excuse.

Thinking about how other major cities feel so much more active and engaged when it comes to things like this. And the population is there, went to white linen last year and it was huge. But why are there not more things like this all the time?

I’ve lived in smaller cities that had much more in terms or weekly weekend events like block parties, random street parties, etc. Just something, anything, to bring communities out. Houston is very manageable in terms of heat most of the year. So that’s not an excuse. Even in the summer stuff can start at night.
