Which neighborhood has similar vibe for someone coming from downtown Chicago?

I used to live near South loop area in a high rise in downtown Chicago with about 800 people or so, and wondering which neighborhood has similar vibes. I currently live in sharpstown and find it extremely boring. It is close to 69, so I'm about 10 mins to places like upper Kirby.

Are there any decent high rises with many people whom I can talk to? I'm planning to move to such a place
