Where to volunteer with refugees

For personal reasons Ilately I've been thinking I should donate time and or money to help refugees in Houston.

After a few Google searches there are way too many organizations too choose from. And I'm just curious of anyone has had personal experience with any of them.

If I donated time I would prefer kids, but adults are fine too. Anyway all Information is welcome
