Where to park to see downtown fireworks?

We live in Montrose and want our kids to see the downtown fireworks. Our kids are young (3 & 5) so not keen on the festival on Allen parkway for them. Anyone know a spot to park and see the show? Perhaps a parking garage? Thanks in advance and happy 4th.
