Where to park and enter IAH for an international pickup

I need to pick someone up from IAH next Friday and want to be able to actually go meet them instead of just picking them up rushed at the E arrival lines. Is there somewhere with short term parking that isn’t too expensive? And from there where is the best place to meet?

I’ve seen people recommend the hotel but then someone replied saying they aren’t letting people park at that garage anymore so I didn’t know what the final verdict on that was.
