Where to donate old, gently used clothing in northwest Houston?

My wife and I are looking to donate older gently used clothing we no longer need to clear out the room we are converting into a nursery. Are there any places in northwest Houston (Tomball, Willowbrook, Champions area) that will accept donations and give them to people in need, free of charge to them?

I've heard people suggest women's shelters before because they give the items for free to those in need, but I can't locate any near us.
