Where should I live? New job in city center.

I am returning back to Houston after several years out of state. I grew up here but left after high school. Where should I live? My job is near city center and I have a wife and 2-year old. Top priorities are schools, long-term value of the house and quality of the neighborhood, in that order.

Also, I will be doing WFH at least 2 days a week and my wife has a permanent WFH job. Grandparents are long term residents of Copperfield but the data I am looking at shows the schools there are slowly declining. Budget is 500K.
