Where should I go to retrieve my gun that was confiscated by the police?

Early this morning at 1:00AM, my brother was arrested for racing on the highway. The truck he was in is mine and inside the truck was a handgun. The truck was towed and when I retrieved the truck the gun was gone.

I called four places already and they all throw me in a loop putting me on hold and telling me to call different places.

One place gave me the cop who made the report/arrest my number but he has yet to call me.

The tow truck place doesn’t seem to have my gun and the gun is defiantly not in the vehicle any more.

So my question is where can I go in person to see if the cops have my gun in their storage or something?
