Where do the young, black, upper middleclass or affluent families in Houston live?
I'm curious. Are a concentrated number of people in this group buying homes within the more decent or reconstructed areas of the city of Houston (Heights, 3rd Ward, EaDo, Memorial, Independence Heights, Spring Branch)? I currently live in River Oaks/Montrose, but I'm renting. I have a black/Latino family and want my children to attend very diverse schools, which includes a decent percentage of African American kids. I'm referring to some of the good/Magnet-type HISD schools, not private. Does this area exist in the city? I know a lot of black families that live in areas like Richmond-Rosenberg or Pearland, but I haven't heard much about inner-city areas. When I say upper middle class or affluent, I'm referring to the young children (ages 0-10) of professionals (ages 28+) who are engineers, nurse practitioners, finance managers, Principal IT personnel, pharmacists, business owners, etc.).
