Where can I surrender a stray kitten in Houston ASAP?

Hi all—as the title suggests, I found a stray kitten under the hood of my car today. He’s super sweet but unfortunately I’m not able to keep him at this time. I’m trying to figure out where I could surrender it as no one I know is interested in keeping it. I tried humane society but they made me fill out some online form for a waitlist and BARC made me book an appointment two weeks from now…not sure what I would even do with this kitten for two weeks. Anyone got any tips or suggestions on how to handle? I appreciate any insight.
