Where can I get brake rotors checked?

Where can I take brake rotors to get them checked? I'm in NW Houston, close to the Greenspoint area I guess.

I'm going to be doing the brakes on my car, and wanted to check if the rotors need to be resurfaced or replaced.

I guess I could also use some mechanic recommendations in the area.
