Where can I get a replacement engine for cheap? (1998 Toyota tacoma 2.4l)

My truck is a 1998 toyota tacoma 2.4l engine. Just looked through Facebook marketplace and its riddled with scammers. Me and the mechanic whose shop my truck is housed in looked around junkyards last week, and the ones that do have my truck's engine are charging too much for it used not new. I have a budget of $1100 but I'd be willing to stretch it a little bit. It's been 2 months without having my truck now and I miss her sooo much 🙁
