Where can I find homeless/abandoned dogs in Houston.

I am here to ask if you guys know of any 'popular' dog abandon locations around Houston. I really want to help get these homeless dogs and pups that are left in boxes or tied to trees. I want to get these dogs off of the streets and registered at Harris County. I understand that Houston does not offer tons of money to The Harris County animal pound, but it is important that these dogs are registered and checked for microchips. Once there, they can be taken into non-euthanize organizations that can help get these pups forever homes.
