Where are you guys finding roommates??

So Houston rent is absurd if you’re not living in the suburbs. I got lucky with a $860 a month apartment before it jumped to 1100 and I said F that. Looking at a lot of places it’s close to 1400-1600 for something decent in a good area such as the heights for a mediocre size apartment so I decided well…f**k it let me find a roommate.

Now the issue I have (as a lot of people will have too) is finding the right one. No mess or annoying stuff. I’m thinking of just renting a 2 bedroom and finding a co applicant. I’d be fine living with an opposite sex but I feel there could be some awkward tensions without talking them out first. I’m 23 and would want to find someone around my age but what websites would you all recommend to find one?
