Where are the best peaceful indoor sitting areas?

The title is horrible but basically, I wanted to know is there's anywhere in Houston where you can go sit and just watch people go by without being outside?

Like for example, I love the scenery at Herman Park and The Zoo. It's so relaxing and peaceful but Summer is coming and the last place I want to be is outside so I'm trying to find a substitute.
