Where are the bees? Am I blind?

My front yard has a little vegetable garden that’s been flowering since April, and a whole flower garden in addition as well. I spend a lot of time out there just admiring the view. Since then I think I’ve seen maybe 1 mason bee, and a couple butterflies recently, but nothing more. Do I need to be doing more to attract bees or are there just less bees now?
