When did 107.5 The Eagle start playing grunge?

I don't know how many of y'all still listen to the radio, but I find myself flipping stations from time to time and I've noticed that 107.5 The Eagle, Houston's main classic rock station, is now regularly playing grunge.

This isn't bad per se, it is just a bit odd to flip over to the station I'm used to hearing Bob Seger and Poison on and instead hearing Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I suppose this was inevitable; these bands are definitely old enough to classify as classic rock now and they were bound to make their way to this station eventually.

Still, though, it seems like the grunge era is what separates modern rock from classic rock, even though it was like thirty years ago at this point. Bear in mind I'm only 23, so I wasn't around for this change in music. It's just odd to hear Nirvana and Pearl Jam play on 107.5, the classic rock station, alongside 94.5 The Buzz, the "hip" alternative rock station. What are your thoughts? Does this mean other rock bands from the time are going to start making their way over? I can't deny, it would feel weird hearing Weezer and Spin Doctors on the classic rock station, but I suppose that's just time marching forward.
