What’s your average monthly electric bill down south?

I hear you guys run your A/C 24/7 12 months a year. Either way, I work from home and husband loves to be cool.

Right now.. in NYC for a 2 bed 800sq ft apartment, our electric bill goes to about $270-$300 to run one window unit most of the time for the month.

The average homeowner here does $400-$500 a month for their electric bill during summer..and the average home here is 1,300 sq feet.

My goal is BIG in Texas..and you guys have it Lol.. I want a home around 2,500 sq feet…maybe more. I'd want to keep it at a comfy 69 inside? We are good about turning off lights after ourselves but we are a family of 5 and don't creep around with candles.

Someone is ALWAYS on either the TV or PC. I'm just trying to get a rough estimate of what to be prepared for with an electric bill. What's yours? How big is your home? How often do you run the A/C? I know some of you don't run it during the day if you travel to work..which is why I ask.

Sometimes I really feel they're ripping us off in NYC but I'm not sure
