What’s with Houstob McDonalds doing remodeling to make them worse?

Seems like a lot of area McDs have been remodeled in the last year to make them less customer friendly. Mainly reduced seating and taking out the self service drink stations. I lien taking a long break and refilling my drink several times, not having to walk up to the counter for it.

I've seen several like this, but two I've been to in the last month are the ones in Meyerland (they probably did that to stop the homeless from hanging out or returning to get drinks), and the one at BW8 and Airport.

Just left the one on Kirby off 59 and they don't have a drink station either.
