What’s up with all the hating on Alex Cintrón?

Every time our offense does poorly a bunch of people on this sub start saying "we need to fire Alex Cintrón," "Cintrón doesn't even help the hitters he's just a loudmouth," etc.

It seems to me like he's just become a punching bag for totally arbitrary reasons. There's no evidence that he's bad at his job, in fact he's been the hitting coach since 2019 and all of those Astros teams until this year have been excellent offensively.

But the way some people see it here, he deserves none of the credit for those offensive successes, or the offensive successes of this year such as Meyers's resurgence, but does deserve the blame when our hitters are slumping. When the hitters are good he's "carried by the team," when they're bad though it's categorically his fault apparently.

A telling detail that this is totally arbitrary is I've never seen someone mention Troy Snitker in these comments even though he's been a hitting coach for the same amount of time.

What do y'all think?
