What’s the most efficient way to get to and from Minute Maid?

Just moved to the Bryan/College Station area and will be driving down for the game tomorrow. Houston is normally a 1 hour 45 minute drive from here. But I'm worried at that time of day, with rush hour traffic and game day traffic combined, that it could be a 3 hour drive each way. I'm okay paying a decent amount for parking if needed. Would you guys recommend parking away from downtown and taking transit to the stadium? Or is there a good parking garage that allows for easy entry and exit without getting too tangled up in traffic?
