What’s the Houston dating/social/community scene like for professional women in their mid-30s?

Hey r/Houston,

I'm a single, older law student considering relocating to Houston after graduation. How is the dating and social scene in Houston for professional women in their mid-30s? I'd be 34, almost 35. East Asian, if that makes a difference. I'd be able to snag intros to a few friends of friends, but otherwise would be starting from scratch socially.

I'd like to possibly meet someone and start a family, as well as contribute meaningfully to a community. What are the chances of this for a transplant moving to Houston later in life? (Lay it on me! I want to know exactly what I'd be getting myself into.)
